To do that, he is usually based on modern and contemporary Spanish practices, and in particular on exhibition pavilions and domestic architecture. Author of the books Paisaje y Artificio. Rebeca Piedra Dueñas

Rebeca Piedra Dueñas (Burgos, Spain, 1992) studied Architecture at ETSA Navarra and ETSA Valladolid, graduating from the latter in 2017. Philosophy

  1. We understand architecture as the [re]building of our environment, in an objective and a subjective way, to found new places that improve people’s lives.

  1. We work with reality: we give a real response to real questions and problems, for real people, in real places and with means and times in accordance to reality.

  1. We understand architecture as a way of life; as our own way of looking, interpreting and building the world in which we live.

  1. Our works is based on the three pillars that are necessary to get coherence and depth: building, researching and teaching.

  1. We conceive architecture as the materialization of time by means of the construction of new natural and necessary environments: matter, time, nature and need are our battlefield, and the ‘magic’ of architecture emerges from its suitable cultivation.

  1. Architecture is a joint result of logic and poetics, of reason and intuition.

  1. An architect must predict the future and assume new roles. Architecture must be daughter of its time and at the same time aspire to timelessness, it must position in the present and look to the future without losing the references to the past.

  1. We bet on creativity, simplicity, naturalness, austerity, economy of resources, the respect for the environment, rigour, precision and constructive refinement.

  1. Architecture must listen to its context on the whole, so that it can dialogue properly with its natural, urban, rural or energy environment, as well as with the society, the culture, the economy, the politics, etc.

  1. Architecture builds ideas and, therefore, goes beyond construction; it must exist a narration that goes beyond matter and nature.

  1. In this present world, we must be global and local at the same time.

  1. We admire popular architecture because it has survived throughout time as a result of logic and common sense, simplicity and adaptation to the environment wherever it is.

  1. We believe in natural and noiseless architecture that does not create problems, but solves them.

  1. We admire what improves with the passing of time.

  1. We feel thrilled with beauty and everything that has been made with dedication and care.

Team

Our philosophy, based on the detailed and accurate development of the project and its work, is possible thanks to a small but committed team. We share a way of doing which main goal is to improve our environment and people’s lives.
